Black Country Ales
The Black Country Ales Brewery
has been
established through a genuine love of traditional
ales. We brew our outstanding selection of beers
using only the finest ingredients to the highest
possible standards.
Our acclaimed master brewer believes that the
way to make the perfect pint is a no compromise
combination of time, passion and dedication to the art.
Brewing started on the site around 1834 by Edward Guest
(a butcher by trade) as a side line for his local customers.
The Guest family brewed for many years before passing
the business on to Eli Bradley in 1870. The Bradleys
carried on the tradition of producing hand-crafted real
ales of quality for six generations but this finally ceased
just after World War II and the brewery was moth balled.
Today much of the original equipment remains on view
alongside all new micro brewery plant, and so, once again,
this gem of West Midlands brewing heritage is serving up
the finest hand crafted Black Country Ales to discerning
drinkers all over the county.
